Sant Kumar founded IndoRelief after volunteering in Faridabad, India as a medical volunteer. He met many people living in the slums and volunteering their time. He spoke with medical providers and learned about the Indian healthcare system and the limited opportunities available to the poor. The most important discovery he made exploring this new area was the spirit of the Indian people. When he came back to the US, he wanted to continue helping. What started as an effort to raise money for one patient has turned into a global nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the underserved. This is due to the generosity of people all over the world and the hard work of our team. When Sant is not working, he may be found watching a detective show or running.
Dr. Prabhat Kumar has been a licensed physician for over 20 years. He has helped found a hospital dedicated to providing medical care to the underserved in northern India. He works closely with people living in slums as well as health professionals all over India. With the help of various organizations around the world, Dr. Prabhat has held numerous health camps in the slums. When he is not working, Dr. Prabhat may be found spending time with his twin sons and wife.
