TREATMENT: Vaccinations for Hep B, DTaP, rotavirus, and polio. Paromomycin oral medication

OUTCOME, 10/4/2015: Varsha is no longer having abdominal pain. Her bowel movements have also returned to normal. We performed lab tests, and the results were negative. We believe we have eliminated the parasite. We spoke with her parents about boiling water and milk before drinking it. We also spoke with them about the importance of thoroughly cooking food. We told them about parasites--what they are and how they caused Varsha's symptoms. Her parents understood and were grateful.
